Attorney Brandon J. Campbell, JD, BA has a passion for helping people through their most difficult times, such as the loss of a loved one, as well as through their most exciting times, such as starting a new business venture. His desire to help people at all stages of their lives, plus his overarching focus on education for his clients led Mr. Campbell to becoming a counselor and advocate for all.
He is a specialist in estate planning and probate/trust administration, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, wealth preservation, and elder law. He is also a specialist in business matters, representing a variety of for-profit and non-profit entities with formation, employee issues, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and business succession planning. Mr. Campbell’s organizational and detail-oriented skills, coupled with his in-depth knowledge of estate and business matters enable him to successfully handle complex planning, administration, and transactional cases.
A solutions-focused attorney, Mr. Campbell is invested in the notions of holistic and collaborative representation, believing that building strategic partnerships and collaborating with other professionals will enable him to serve every group of people he may encounter.
EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS
Mr. Campbell attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he pursued interests in criminal justice, psychology, and political science. He discovered a passion for the law and helping victims after he trained to become a victim advocate at The Women’s Center, a shelter for abused women and children.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Administration of Justice, Mr. Campbell attended the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver. While there, he took clerkship positions with the federal government, nonprofit organizations, and a local district attorney’s office.
After earning his Juris Doctor degree and being admitted to practice, Mr. Campbell worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Brian Boatright and Honorable Stephen Munsinger of the Jefferson County District Courts, where he developed experience with courtroom litigation and estate and probate matters.
He joined with Ashley Opfer in 2017, merging his existing practice with hers to create Opfer | Campbell | Beck P.C., and in doing so, brought with him his expertise, education and compassion to assist clients in all aspects of their estate and business needs. In addition to his continuing legal education, Mr. Campbell also voluntarily undertakes accounting courses, in an effort to maximize his ability to address and resolve his client’s needs.
Mr. Campbell is a member of Wealth Counsel, the Colorado Bar Association (and its subsidiary Trust & Estate Section), and the Estate Planning Council of Southeast Denver. He is also a member of the Business Networking International (BNI) Group Full Throttle, where he has served in a number leadership capacities.
Mr. Campbell has continued his commitment to helping those in need, assisting organizations such as Shiloh House, Project Safeguard, Family Tree, Colorado Ethics Watch, and the National Association of Counsel for Children. Mr. Campbell also currently serves on the Board of Directors for Perspective Shift Colorado, Inc.
His Illinois farm roots have influenced his appreciation for food, and in his free time, Mr. Campbell enjoys preparing gourmet meals covering a range of cuisines from around the world. He also enjoys a wide range of interests, including fine cigars, fitness and natural wellness, and outdoor activities such as whitewater rafting. A dream of Mr. Campbell’s is to travel the globe and learn culinary skills from all manner of cultures.
